Prof. Dr. Brigitta Lurger, LL.M. (Harvard)
Brigitta Lurger's research and teaching focuses on the comparison of private law systems (see e.g. Book VIII "Transfer of Movables" in Draft Common Frame of Reference / Study Group on a European Civil Code 2000-2009), conflict of laws (the application and enforcement of law in cross-border situations), European private law, consumer protection, digitalization and the integration of interdisciplinary (mainly empirical) research into law (sociology, psychology, economics). She is co-author of standard textbooks and handbooks on private international law and European private and commercial law. Her current research projects deal with how private law and conflict of laws deal with global crises and challenges such as the energy transition, digitalization or sustainable production in global supply chains.
