The research we dedicate ourselves to
Our research focuses on issues of "traditional" civil law (contract law, tort law, property law, family and succession law), but also in particular on private international law and civil procedure law, comparative private law, European private law, banking law, consumer protection law, medical law, transport law, environmental law, housing law and arbitration (including the ICCDR Forum).
We also think outside the box: as part of unconventional research projects (including the CLP project, EC2 project, ABGB in plain language), we deal with issues at the interface between civil law and public law, psychology, economics, information modeling and linguistics.
It is a particular concern of ours to contribute in all small and large research projects to keeping civil law - in all its facets - practicable, fit for the future and comprehensible.
